Local-first by design. Aquarium Planner AR works entirely on your device. We do not collect, track, sell, or share any personal data.

The app may store the following information locally on your device:

Aquarium plans or designs you create (dimensions, stand height, lighting settings, etc.)
AR placement data used to position your aquarium in your space
Basic app preferences (e.g., units of measurement or color mode)

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored securely in Apple iCloud under your Apple ID. We (the developer) do not have access to your iCloud contents.

3) How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide app functionality, including:

Creating and saving aquarium designs
Rendering your aquarium in AR within your space
Storing your configuration and size preferences between sessions

We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or remote servers to collect or store your data.

4) Permissions

The app may request the following optional permissions:

Camera — to detect surfaces and render aquariums in augmented reality.
Photos — to optionally save screenshots or export images of your designs.
iCloud — to sync your saved aquarium plans securely between your devices using your Apple account.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. The app remains functional even if permissions are denied (with some features disabled).

5) Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally on your device or in your private iCloud (if enabled).
No external databases or web servers are used.
You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the in-app reset function.

6) Children’s Privacy

Aquarium Planner AR is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7) Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the UK or EU, you may:

Access the data stored locally or in your iCloud account
Delete all app data at any time
Withdraw camera or photo access through device settings

Because Aquarium Planner AR does not maintain external user accounts or servers, these rights can be exercised directly from your device.

8) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect feature changes or legal requirements. Updates will be posted in the app or on our website. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
