Aquarium Routine — Privacy Policy

Welcome to Aquarium Routine. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data the app stores, how it is used, and your rights.

2) Information We Collect

On-device, by default. Aquarium Routine is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not track, sell, or share personal data.

The app may store the following locally on your device:

Aquarium and routine details you create (e.g., tank name, maintenance tasks, logs)
Calendar event identifiers (if you enable calendar sync)
Notification preferences and reminder schedules
Optional photos you attach to tanks

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in Apple iCloud under your Apple ID. We (the developer) do not have access to your iCloud contents.

3) How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely to provide app functionality, including:

Scheduling reminders and local notifications
Creating and updating calendar events (if enabled)
Displaying your routines, history, and visual progress
Saving your settings between sessions

We do not sell or share your data with third parties, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

4) Permissions

To enable certain features, the app may request these optional permissions:

Notifications — to remind you of upcoming routines
Calendar — to create and update routine events in your calendar
Photos — to attach photos to your tanks, if you choose

You can grant or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. The app degrades gracefully if permissions are denied.

5) Data Storage & Security

Data is stored locally on your device or in your iCloud account if enabled.
We do not operate external databases for your content.
You can delete your data by uninstalling the app or using in-app reset tools.

6) Children’s Privacy

The app is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7) Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EU, you may:

Access the personal data stored on your device or iCloud
Delete your data at any time
Withdraw permission for notifications, calendar, or photos

Because we do not maintain external user accounts, these rights can be exercised directly on your device.

8) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Updates will be posted in the app and/or on our website if applicable. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
